Thank you for visiting the Wolcott Volunteer Ambulance Association, Inc. Web Site. Our mission is to provide medical aid, health education and youth mentoring to the residents of the Town of Wolcott by responding 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year to emergency calls for medical assistance and by educating the public with free or low cost CPR and EMS training programs. We also endorse our EMS Explorer program to mentor the youth of Wolcott. Our staff provides this to the Town of Wolcott with minimal impact on tax payers.
The Wolcott Volunteer Ambulance Association, Inc. was founded in May of 1973 by ten (10) dedicated and committed residents. These Charter Members are:
- Jack Ahearn
- David Methe
- David Bernier
- Mary Ostrander
- Ronald Bruneau
- Donald Schoeck
- Bonnie Kennedy
- Norman Stanchfield
- Patrick Kennedy
- Alice Regan
Our organization is forever thankful to these dedicated founders who had the vision and foresight back in 1973, to establish a volunteer ambulance corps for the benefit of the Town of Wolcott. Without their hard work, dedication and tireless volunteer hours this association would never have existed. A valuable emergency service which responds to nearly 1800 emergency requests annually.
If you have had to use our medical services, we hope you are recovering well. You may receive a survey to evaluate our care. We would like to know how we can improve our services to you and the Town of Wolcott.
Thank you and all of our volunteers and staff for your continued support of WVAA.
